Rappers are known for dissing each other and spitting lyrics that sometimes cause minor riots in hip hop land. If there’s one rapper who knows how to push the buttons of not only his colleagues, but also haters and lovers out there, it’s Drake. But the internet always strikes back and ever since the existence of the sentimental rapper who has a heart with a ponytail, the app store is loaded with the best games and apps that sort of mock the artist. Even though we’re fan of the former Degrassi actor at Rockstone, we couldn’t withhold the best on Drizzy in app form.
1. Drizzy
Love Drake, but couldn’t be bothered to remember all his awesome lyrics to show off to your friends or just to ditch your mom’s nagging? ‘Drizzy’ might be the perfect app for you! It’s a keyboard you can install on your phone and let you pick quotes in the categories ‘random’, ‘feels’, ‘hustle’, ‘ex’s’ (great to diss that clingy lady/guy you’ve been wanting to deliver a clear message to) and ‘hate’.
2. Drake Shake
There’s no such thing as a good selfie if Drake’s not in it. But hey, guy’s busy, just like you, so it can happen that both of you are not always at the same place at the same time. Not to worry! Make your #selfies worthwhile with ‘Drake Shake’. It’s simple as one, two three. Take a picture, shake your phone and BOOM. He’s at your graduation, chilling with you on a lazy Sunday, your wedding, hell, he could even show up at your first driving lesson. Look at me and Drizzy working on this article, happy days.
3. A Drizzy Eyebrow Pluck Makeup Spa
Don’t underestimate the eyebrows. Seriously. You got to keep them in shape. Drake knows that, you know that. You can do more celebrities as well, but we all know that Drizzy has the best brows to practise on. Pierce, colour, pluck and brush them. Make them disappear if you’d like. Though that would just be a waste.
4. Skating Drizzy
The name says it all: it’s Drake, skateboarding. On your command! Like Flappy Bird you have to skate and jump through holes in walls, while collecting bad ass stuff such as golden chains. Unfortunately yours truly really sucks at Flappy Bird and thus also at Skating Drizzy. With a high score of four (!) obstacles conquered, I can’t really tell you what other objects there are to collect. Please do let me know if you find something spectacular. For now, I’m not trying in order to keep me from throwing my phone out of the window. Have fun!
5. Amazing Superstar Hero Road Dash
Same principle as Skating Drizzy, only with more obstacles, collectable coins and of course Aubrey running his ass off instead of skating. Obviously I’m horrible at this game, so do try it out yourself. At least, if you can handle the insane amount of advertising in between, which made me remove this app straight away. Again I discovered I suck at it and it made me want to throw out my phone for the second time today.
