Justin van der Weijde-Estacio (bass/vocals), Pieter van der Velden (guitar/vocals) and Lasse Voerman (drums) established Mustangs in August 2012. Only two months later they played their first gig in the Supermarkt in their hometown The Hague. Mustangs’ distinctive sixties sound is getting more familiar by the day, which is no surprise, because the band really knows how to play it. They get their inspiration mainly of bands as The Rolling Stones and The Small Faces, but especially the vocals sound pretty ‘Beatles-ish’. It’s therefore been said before that they are the best of the early sixties, with the goodness of The Beatles and the guts of Mick Jagger. We shot two sessions with them in the beautiful Café le Duc in The Hague. Check it out and enjoy!
