A couple years ago singer-songwriter Matthijs Steur and multi-instrumentalist Pieter van Winsen started playing shows in The Netherlands. In 2012 they took this to a next level and went to the United States to perform their songs across that country. Three years later they are members of the Indie Folk band Matt Winson, which is about to release its first EP. Besides these two founders, the band consists of Thomas van Winsen and Magnuss Baugis. A Dutch/Latvian combination that’s known for its progressive folk music, full of vocal harmonies, a wide range of instruments and criticizing lyrics. Check out the session we recorded at the Nutstuin and make sure you don’t miss their EP release next month.
