Australian band Waxhead is fascinated by black music, the epic rock of the late 60’s to early 70’s and the post punk new wave of the late 70’s to early 80’s. That’s actually quite a complicated way for describing their genre, so it might be easier to say they sound a bit like the early Black Keys. The four-piece band exists since 2013 and released their EP called Home last April. At the moment they’re on a grand tour promoting this debut in Australia, Japan, Indonesia and Europe. The plan for it seems simple: have so much fun it becomes infectious. Fortunately band member Josh found time to record two awesome sessions during this tour. The first one is called ‘Sunshine’ of which they probably know all about Down Under. The second is called ‘Slow’ and very beautiful as well. Enjoy ‘em both!
