This morning, after my usual scouring of the interwebs, I discovered the Finnish duo Shine 2009, consisting of Sami Suova and Mikko Pykari. They’ve already released an album independently, but now they’ve signed to Modular, the same label as Ozzies Tame Impala and Wolfmother, and Norwegian Young Dreams. Shine 2009’s second album is due out later this year.

‘Eurozone’ has got a very strange mix of musical styles going on: the track starts with what sounds like distorted church bells dubbed with an opera sample, but when the beat and synths kicks in, it transforms into a laidback breakbeat-track that’s perfect for when you’re on the road.
