Holland is a breeding place for musical talent and Eveline Vroonland is proving that once more. Under the name of PHOS she recently released her debut album Never Obsolete. Her first single ‘Fall Out’ best describes itself as a dreamy track, dito voices, slowbeat and at parts it reminds you of Enya (in a good way!).
As a one-woman show she uses a sampler to loop vocals, percussive sounds and beats. Eveline expands on this sound on her debut album and teamed up with producer/rapper Skiggy Rapz to elaborate her songs. Her beat and vocal-oriented songs creates a unique ethereal feel which she likes to describe as ‘dream & bass’. A perfect description for a sound that indeed makes you feel at ease. Zen-mode on.
