If you’re lucky enough to take your date home after a romantic date, it’s time to provide some ‘aftercare’. Rockstone selected five songs that we consider the most suitable to set the perfect romantic tone. We tried to avoid making it too cheesy (sorry Lionel Ritchie and Diana Ross), some are all-time classics, others are more, well, out there. Inspiration for a long list!

5. Beyoncé ft Jay-Z – Crazy in Love
Number five is destined for Beyoncé featuring her husband Jay-Z. It might not be the best love song in the world, but it’s performed by a couple and relatively modern (2002). Besides that, it’s one of the few love songs where you can actually dance on, as you can see in this live version.

4. Ray Charles – I Can’t Stop Loving You
This one is definitely a classic. It actually isn’t originally from Ray Charles, but written by Don Gibson in 1957. Over seven hundred versions have been recorded since then and Ray Charles’ version (1962) is amazing. Just take a look at this legend!

3. Jack Johnson – Better Together
This song (2005) just makes you happy. It’s innocent and catchy. Check out this live version on Glastonbury, he’s spreading the love.

2. Elvis Presley – Love me Tender
Of course The King cannot be missing in this list. So many young women fell in love with him. Look at the video below and you’ll understand. Elvis recorded this song back in 1956 and it has been covered over forty times since.

1. Wonderful World – Sam Cooke
Without a doubt the ultimate number one! Sam Cooke released this classic in 1960 and the 1965 version of Otis Redding became very famous as well. The video below doesn’t have any moving images, but the amazing sound definitely compensates this. Enjoy!
