Tom appreciates silence, and is prone to escape the rush of his hometown Amsterdam in order to make music. His EP ‘Rain Is Gone’ was fully written in Iceland, a notion which is reflected by the minimalistic foundation of piano, electronic beats, layers of vocals, ambient strings and synths on his first solo work.
Follow-up single ‘Head Up High’ –produced by former Soulwax drummer Stephane Misseghers – is a critical ode to the hectic pace of the city and the expectations we impose on ourselves.

Tom Tukker’s subjects are vulnerable and pure, the songs are about his experiences, his mistakes, his past, his fears, his love and hate.

We joined him at his workspace to film this beautiful acoustic rendition of his track “Morning Silence”
